The most recent development at Thalheimer is an innovative integrated system of handling, storing and dispensing all kind of vaccines in shock-freezers.
The system runs smoothly with minimum human intervention.
We developed the system from the conceptual to the detailed design and manufacture to meet the specific requirements of each pharmaceutical industrial establishment.
We anticipate the vital importance of each step in the system vaccines that need to be stored at an ultra-low temperature of around -80C, and handled at temperature not higher than -70C, would require a dedicated standard operation process (SOP) of a complete freezing cycle.
To meet the stringent requirement of the vaccine’s manufacturer, Thalheimer has been conducting thorough discussions with packaging departments of several worldwide establishments to define the quantity of vials and the volume of each batch so as our system will work out the logistic of each step.
Based on such information, we design a universal shelf that can slide in all units within the SOP and will also assure a maximum proportion of each batch supplied by the manufacturer.
The first step of the SOP is to shock freeze the manufactured products to reach -76C within the shortest time defined by the Norms of the manufacturer.
The second critical step is to transfer the products from the shock freezer to the storage unit ensuring no rise in Temp higher than -70C which is stipulated by the manufacturer, and managed by a single operator.
The storage is usually fixed at -80C for an unlimited period of time within the scope of the manufacturer’s requirement.
The third step involves fitting the shelf carrying the products into the insulated transporting box that is kept at low temperature of Dry ice.
Thalheimer is proud to announce this innovation and capable of delivering the whole system to the manufacturer as well as the logistic chain including installation, commissioning, as well as training.
